Nutrition

Nutritional therapy supports you in optimising your diet and adapting your lifestyle in order to regain health and vitality, complementing other therapies. It encompasses assessments of imbalances, family and medical history, biochemical individuality, and individual recommendations in a nutritional programme to encourage the body’s natural healing, supporting greater energy, improved wellbeing and performance.

Before attending the clinic we will ask you to complete a comprehensive, confidential nutrition questionnaire. Your consultation case history assessment is based on a functional medicine approach and draws upon the latest research to take into account an analysis of symptoms and systems, diet and nutritional deficiencies, medication and family health history, lifestyle factors and environmental factors (e.g. parasites, toxic metals, pesticides, hormone disruptors).

Our nutritionists – Natalia Traxel and Angela Trisolgio –  will explain to you the underlying factors which may be affecting how you feel, and then work with you to optimise your diet with foods that have historically been used to address your personal health goals, providing

  • Tailored, realistic dietary suggestions that fit your lifestyle, needs and budget
  • A detailed personal supplement programme, if your case requires it
  • Email or telephone support and referral schemes with other practitioners

If you require a more detail assessment then we can make recommendations for the latest bio-chemical functional tests and screening (blood, stool, saliva) to support assessments of your current health status and progress in specific areas. These tests may include: adrenal stress index test; complete digestive function and/or parasite analysis; food allergy or intolerances; hormone profiles; liver detoxification profile; mitochondrial function (cellular energy production); cardio-vascular risk factor indicators.

For 1:1 sessions with Natalia Traxel, teacher at the Raymond Blanc Cookery School

During your consultation you will be asked detailed questions about your current health concerns, symptoms, medical history, family history, lifestyle, levels of physical activity, stress, use of medications, supplements and diet. You will be asked what your goal is or what you would like to achieve.

Your individual needs will then be evaluated to develop a personalised, safe and effective nutrition and lifestyle programme for you to follow. Further follow-ups may be required depending on each individual case.
