Clare specialises in pain management and all spinal and peripheral joint conditions, including sports injuries. Clare has always had a specific interest in prevention and aims to resolve the cause of pain in all her patients and bring about lifestyle changes. An holistic approach to treatment, involves both emotional and physical assessments. She includes Pilates rehabilitation in her treatment plan with all patients. Her main aim is to explain the patients condition in terms that are understandable to the lay person and thus allay any fears the patient may have. This empowers the patient to feel ‘ in control’ of their condition, rather than rely on health professionals to resolve all future issues.
She lectures regularly to companies on health and wellbeing issues, ‘Turning your working day into a workout’ ‘ Perfect Posture: Correct Core’ and has lectured on the annual Pain Symposium, London.
Clare has initiated Wellbeing PhysioYogaLates [ devised and named by her] classes for the Over 50’s within WPPC and also in local GP practices. She is a passionate believer in teaching regular exercise routines and brings lifestyle and wellbeing issues into all her treatment plans.
Clare qualified from Guy’s Hospital, London in 1984 with distinction. Her continuing ambition is to maintain the best team to provide care, expert therapy and a happy environment in which to treat and care for patients.
