Our Practice has as its focus the elimination of your physical pain. Sometimes, what and how you eat may form a part of a progressive and holistic solution. After all, “You are what you eat!”.
We have two nutritionists Natalia Traxel and Angela Trisolgio who you may consult to give reassurance and advice on your diet that can then be knitted together to your physical exercise plans. Both are medically trained and can explain the science behind suggestions made and work together to ensure the appropriateness of treatments and diets suggested.
For 1:1 sessions with Natalia Traxel, teacher at the Raymond Blanc Cookery School and resident nutritionist at WPPC
Natalia has always had a strong interest in preventative medicine as around half of today’s medical conditions and diseases can be prevented by a change in diet and lifestyle. She applies nutrition from a medical perspective to not only aid existing health issues but also to prevent them.
Prior to her degree in Nutrition, Natalia attended the third annual course hosted by British Cosmetic Dermatological group in 2007. Her interest in dermatology stems from the strong correlation between skin health and nutrition.
Natalia regularly teaches at the acclaimed Raymond Blanc Cookery School based at Oxfordshire’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, teaching the ‘Food for Body and Mind’ course, as well as consulting on a number of other courses. Here she emphasizes the relationship between food and a diverse spectrum of our health.
She believes in a balanced diet, not obsessively counting calories but giving your body all the nutrients to help maintain good physical strength, clear mind and a general sense of well-being. Natalia also values creating unique and personal diets to suit and fit the needs of an individual.
During your consultation you will be asked detailed questions about your current health concerns, symptoms, medical history, family history, lifestyle, levels of physical activity, stress, use of medications, supplements and diet. You will be asked what your goal is or what you would like to achieve.
Your individual needs will then be evaluated to develop a personalised, safe and effective nutrition and lifestyle programme for you to follow. Further follow-ups may be required depending on each individual case.
Half German half Russian, Natalia studied Medicine in Russia, before graduating from Oxford Brooks University with a PG Diploma in Applied Human Nutrition in 2010.
Angela offers an holistic and practical approach, incorporating the best of integrative medicine, to help you to take charge of your own health. She will help you understand the connections between your health concerns, what you eat and other factors in your life and environment, and guide you through simple and realistic changes.
